Entrepeneurship according to Ronald Rubio

Entrepreneurship in the gastronomic area is fashionable in the food industry, but what is the real definition?

A food entrepreneur is simply someone who starts their own business in the food or culinary industry. It could be someone who creates the next food kit for a special diet (for example, vegetarian keto meals), someone who buys a food truck and launches their own small food business, or someone who opens their own catering business. Food entrepreneurs can tackle a challenge they see in the food system by combining food, business, and social entrepreneurship.

Despite the economic collapse that the united country is experiencing, the political and social crisis, Venezuelan entrepreneurs have developed different gastronomic proposals that, in addition, have contributed to the needs of the local citizen. This circumstance has favored national enterprises, which have managed to fill that space in the market and offer variety in certain categories.

My name is Ronald Rubio and I am pleased to welcome you to this medium where I will share stories of entrepreneurs, proposals, creators and innovations of these Creole businesses, successful gastronomic ventures, who have decided to be their own bosses and employees, to boost the economy in times of recession.

Preferences are changing as consumers feel more comfortable, in the culinary field it is no different, within the trends of the food industry around the world, there is room for ventures that are based on different traditions, flavors, ingredients or culinary techniques. I invite you to discover together these proposals that go beyond food delivery.
